Susan Akscin joined Finninger’s Catering Services, Inc. in 2006 as CFO and Director of Human Resources. She is currently President, with a strong commitment to carrying on the long standing family tradition of feeding St. Louisan’s.

Susan is responsible for directing the long term strategies and business plan of the company as well as continuing her roles as CFO and HR Director. Her education and experience in various marketing roles also allows Susan to drive growth in the private catering segment of the business.

Susan received a BA degree in management with an emphasis in marketing at Webster University, graduating with honors in 2002. She also has completed additional coursework in retail marketing and international business at Washington University and Fontbonne University. While pursing her higher education, Susan also contributed to educating others as a volunteer Parish School of Religion teacher at St. Joseph's in Clayton parish. Susan is a member of the Missouri Restaurant Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Susan’s entrepreneurial spirit began as owner, head dancemaster and choreographer of the Little Dance House, which flourished for 10 years. Several of her students went on to professional dance careers and have danced in summer programs at the renowned MUNY of St. Louis and Missouri Ballet. Her success in developing young dancers prepared her well for her passion to develop her current employees and insist on providing top notch customer service.

Like her grandfather, parents and uncle, she is a native St. Louisan. Susan is an alumni of Xavier High School.
